“As a child I first played squash with my father at Kelab Darul Ehsan, and continued playing at boarding school in Marlborough, England. After that I only played occasionally while living in London and Washington DC, but took it up again after I returned to Malaysia permanently in 2007, usually joining the group at the Royal Lake Club. These days I also play at the Royal Seri Menanti Golf and Country Club where there are two superb singles courts convertible into a doubles court.
“Amidst my schedule of speaking engagements, board meetings and writing, I find that squash lets me reset my mind and my body at crucial points of the week. I have gained a huge insight into the world of Malaysian squash (particularly while serving as Team Manager during the Singapore SEA Games in 2015) and I hope to contribute to Malaysian squash in my continuing role as committee member of SRAM.”
