KUALA LUMPUR: Top seed Ivan Yuen (pic) staved off a strong challenge from Egypt’s Moustafa El Sirty to reach the semi-finals of the CNS International Open in Karachi.

The world No. 48, who won the Indian Tour leg in Chennai last October, won 11-6,11-9,6-11,11-9 to set up a date with third seed Mazen Gamal of Egypt for a place in the final.
